1. Information We Collect

When you visit the Website, we record anonymous usage statistics: the page you viewed, the country you are in (worked out from your connection, not stored as an address), your browser type, the website that linked you here, how far you scrolled and how long the page was open, how the calculator was used (for example, which options were chosen), and technical details of any error the page hits. We never record the numbers or text you enter into the calculator.

To count how many different people visit each day, we combine your IP address and browser details with a random key that changes every day and is then deleted, and keep only the result. This cannot be turned back into your IP address and cannot be used to recognise you on another day. Raw usage records are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals are kept after that.

When you leave a review or comment, we store what you write (rating, title, review or comment), the name you give, your email address for reviews, and the date. Your email address is never shown on the Website. To prevent spam and abuse we also store a one-way, secret-keyed code derived from your IP address (never the address itself) and your browser's identification string.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

• Show approved reviews and comments on the Website;
• Reply to you about your review or comment, if needed;
• Prevent spam, abuse and repeated submissions;
• Understand which pages and calculator features are used, and fix errors;
• Keep the Website secure and working.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare hosts the Website and processes every request to deliver it securely. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that review and comment submissions come from a person rather than a bot, instead of a CAPTCHA. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles this data.
• GitHub stores encrypted backups of reviews and comments.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, social media trackers, or email marketing tools.

4. Cookies

This Website does not use cookies, and does not store anything in your browser to identify or track you. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

5. Data Security and Retention

Reviews and comments are kept for as long as they are published, or until you ask us to delete them. Backups are encrypted, and the key that decrypts them is not stored with them. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is ever 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws (like the GDPR or Australia’s Privacy Act), such as:

• The right to access your personal data;
• The right to request correction or deletion, including removal of a review or comment you posted;
• The right to object to how we use it.
